Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) II: The Importance of Surge Supportability for Electrical Installations

Born in Lençóis Paulista - São Paulo, on December 23, 1996, I graduated as an Electrical Engineer from Faculdade Anhanguera in 2024, in Ribeirão Preto - SP. I've been part of Embrastec since 2018, and currently hold the position of Product Engineering Analyst.

Electrical engineer graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with a specialization in economics and business (MBA) from the Federal University of São Carlos and a master's degree in energy from the Institute of Energy and Environment at the University of São Paulo. He is a specialist in surge protection at Embrastec and an electrical engineer at Lambda Consultoria Ltda. He has been working in the field of surge protection for over 20 years, specifying Surge Protection Devices (SPDs), drawing up technical standards and writing articles and books on the subject.

Born in Mondaí - Santa Catarina on May 13, 1987, I graduated as an Electrical Engineer from Universidade Paulista in 2013, in Ribeirão Preto - SP. I have been part of Embrastec since 2009, in 2015 I took over as Technical Engineer in Charge and currently hold the position of Engineering Manager.

Mechatronics Engineer and Occupational Safety Engineer, currently studying for an MBA in Project Management at USP Esalq. With 18 years' experience in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) industry, he began his career as a trainee at Nacional Gás and is currently working as a Technical Supervisor. His career is marked by notable achievements, including contributing to four winning cases for the LPG Award in 2023.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (2002) and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará (2005). Since 2021, he has been studying for a PhD at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech, where he is developing research in the area of inverter parallelism and synchronization systems for distributed generation systems connected or not to the electricity grid. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará, where he teaches Building and Industrial Electrical Installations. He also works as a technical consultant in the areas of Electrical Installations, Energy Quality, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies, Power Electronics, Protection of Electrical Power Systems and Electrical Systems.

Career started in industrial equipment development. Participation in machinery projects for the automotive industry, mining and automated systems for production lines in various sectors. Focused not only on meeting technical specifications, each project seeks to integrate new technologies and manufacturing techniques to exceed expectations and also optimize processes and ensure operator safety.
