Since 2019, he has been working as director of the Brazilian branch of Aplicaciones Tecnológicas, a Spanish multinational leader in innovative lightning protection and grounding solutions, with a solid track record in the area of lightning detection systems since 2005.

He was director of the Power Division at the University of São Paulo's Institute of Energy and Environment from 2001 to 2011 and currently holds the position of substitute head of the Scientific Division of Energy Planning, Analysis and Development at the same Institute. He is currently secretary of EC 64.10 - Protection against atmospheric discharges, rapporteur of WG 11 (Protection of photovoltaic systems against atmospheric discharges) and Brazil's representative on IEC TC 81.
